# CrazyPBX - Creating an Auto Attendand / IVR

Auto Attendants (IVRs) are interactive menus that allow callers to navigate to a set destination. Auto Attendants can be paired with Ring Groups or Call Queues to notify multiple people of an inbound call.

## Creating a CrazyPBX IVR

1. Sign in to your Crazytel Customer Portal account and click **CrazyPBX**

2. Click **Inbound Features**, then **Auto Attendants**

3. Click **Setup New Auto Attendant** on the top-right

4. In the pop-up panel, enter the following fields:

    a. **Auto Attendant Number:** This is the CrazyPBX internal identifier for this Auto Attendant

    b. **Nickname:** This is the human readable name for this Auto Attendant

    c. *(optional - recommended)* **Greeting Sound:** This is the audio that plays when the caller reaches the Auto Attendant. This is used to tell the caller which button/number to press for which destination.

    d. **Default Destination:** This is where calls go if no input is received from the caller (IE, Hangup, Reception, Voicemail)

5. Set a **Digit** from the drop-down. This is the input the caller must provide for the Destination.

6. Set a **Destination** from the drop-down. This is where the call will go when the linked Digit is pressed.

7. *(optional - recommended)* Add more Menu Options to the Auto Attendant. Each digit can be used once per Auto Attendant. If you have more than 12 options, create an additional IVR and use `*` for 'More Options' - feeding one IVR into the other.
