#2 The types

FTTP · Fibre to the PremisesFibre runs all the way into your home. The fastest kind of NBN® connection. You have an NBN® box on the wall.
FTTC · Fibre to the CurbFibre runs to a small pit at the kerb outside, then a short copper line comes in. You have a small NBN® box (an NCD) that plugs into the phone socket.
FTTN · Fibre to the NodeFibre runs to a cabinet in your street, then the copper phone line carries it the rest of the way. No NBN® box: you use your own VDSL2 modem.
FTTB · Fibre to the BuildingFibre runs to your apartment building, then the building's copper phone lines carry it to you. Like FTTN, you use your own VDSL2 modem.
HFC · Hybrid Fibre CoaxialThe cable network. Fibre runs to your area, then a coaxial cable (like cable TV) comes in. You have an NBN® box.
Fixed WirelessA radio link from an NBN® tower to an antenna on your roof, with an NBN® box inside. Speeds can vary within a range.

Satellite. Satellite NBN® is not supported by Crazytel.
