  • Custom greetings — brand the experience; reuse clips across mailboxes.
  • Access audit — track who listened or downloaded via secure portal/email links.
  • Retention policy — control message storage up to 180 days.

Ring Groups & Hunt Groups

What it does

Ring your team anywhere. Built-in cloud ring group and hunt group strategies to distribute calls to multiple SIP endpoints, extensions, mobiles, or trunks simultaneously.

How it works

1. Call hits number linked to group.
2. Optional pre-ring announcement plays.
3. Platform rings members based on strategy.
4. "Press 1 to accept" verification ensures mobile voicemails don't steal calls.

Key Benefits
  • Hunt group strategies — Simultaneous, Sequential, Circular, or Longest Idle.
  • Caller ID prefix — prefix names (e.g. "Sales:") so agents identify calls.
  • Built-in scheduler — easily handles open, closed, and holiday routing.
  • Outbound CID — present verified business numbers on forwarded legs.

Phone Announcements

What it does

Simple play-and-forward phone announcements. Play recorded closure notices, compliance disclosures, or marketing messages, then redirect the caller.

How it works

1. Call hits the announcement number.
2. Schedules and holiday rules are evaluated.
3. Selected audio clip plays in full.
4. Caller is bridged to forward destination or hung up.

Key Benefits
  • Audio library — reuse clips across multiple announcement modules.
  • Simple outcomes — configure a clear binary forward-or-hangup path.
  • Schedule rules — play alternative audio or close on public holidays.
  • Completion alerts — notify by email or SMS on successful playback.

After Hours Routing

What it does

Advanced after hours routing and time-based conditions. Automatically direct calls to alternative extensions, mobiles, or voicemails based on custom hours and Australian calendar holidays.

How it works

1. Call arrives at schedule router.
2. Today's holiday calendar is matched.
3. Weekday time window rules evaluate by priority.
4. Play optional rules greeting and forward.

Key Benefits
  • Interactive simulator — test routing (e.g. Christmas Eve) before go-live.
  • Pre-set holidays — route closures automatically on calendar dates.
  • Ordered rules — "Lunch hours", "After hours" sorted by priority.
  • Greeting per rule — play closure audio before forwarding to voicemail.

Cloud IVR & Phone Menu

What it does

Professional cloud IVR. Design responsive phone menus and routing paths. Keypad (DTMF) interactions direct callers to departments or nested submenus seamlessly.

How it works

1. Inbound call reaches the IVR.
2. Prompt audio plays and waits for input.
3. Maps digit (DTMF) to actions: submenu, route, play, or end.
4. Timeout/invalid entries retry up to set limits.

Key Benefits
  • Visual menu tree builder — build deep options visually in the portal.
  • Operator shortcut — map standard operator transfer to digit "0".
  • Barge-in support — experienced callers interrupt prompts instantly.
  • DTMF path reports — analyze what buttons your customers press.

Call Queue Waiting Rooms

What it does

High-throughput call queue management. Hold callers in line with customizable hold music and position updates. Intelligently routes to available agents.

How it works

1. Call enters the queue and welcome plays.
2. Caller hears hold music & positions ("Your call is 3rd in line").
3. Rings agents per strategy (simultaneous, circular, longest idle).
4. "Press 1" accept verification prevents mobile VM answering.

Key Benefits
  • Press-1 accept — blocks mobile voicemail from hijacking queue calls.
  • SLA overflows — forward on max wait, full queue, or empty agents.
  • Hold music library — upload custom WAV/MP3 files for your queue.
  • Queue metrics — real-time tracking of waits, abandons, and answers.

Call Recording Compliance (Recording Box)

What it does

Engineered for call recording compliance. Plays legal warnings, routes the call, records the entire bridged connection, and automatically exports to your external SFTP or AWS S3 bucket.

How it works

1. Call hits the recording box number.
2. Platform answers immediately and starts recording.
3. Optional custom greeting plays while forwarding leg initiates.
4. Call finishes; audio upload logs and runs configured SFTP/S3 exports.

Key Benefits
  • BYO Storage export — AWS S3, Wasabi, Vultr, or standard SFTP.
  • Post-export delete — automatically clear platform storage once copy is verified.
  • Complete capture — records full call (greeting, ring-time, and bridged talk).
  • Safety limit — cap maximum call duration to prevent runway costs.
  • Interactive connection checks — live SFTP and S3 connection test buttons in portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I pay per voice product per month?

Yes. Each active voice product instance (mailbox, ring group, IVR menu, queue, etc.) costs $1.00/month. SMS and AI costs may apply on top when you enable those specific parameters. Phone numbers and outbound call minutes are billed separately on your normal trunk plan.

Is email notification free?

Yes. Email alerts (including audio play links or file attachments) are included free in your $1.00/month base subscription fee. There are no per-message email charges.

How is SMS priced?

SMS alerts are billed at a flat rate of $0.05 per message segment. Long text notifications or Unicode emojis can occupy multiple segments. For example, a 180-character SMS alert uses 2 segments and costs $0.10.

What if transcription fails?

You are never charged for failed AI jobs. Billing applies only when transcription and Call Insights compile successfully. Voicemail messages that are completely silent do not trigger charges.

Can I use my business number as caller ID when forwarding?

Yes. After executing our automated Caller ID Verification (a quick automated call validating that you control the target number), your business number can be used as outbound caller ID on forwarded ring legs.

Do I need to know SIP or URI addresses to route calls?

No. You assign destinations entirely by friendly name in the portal (e.g. "Main Ring Group", "Support Queue"). The platform maps and translates paths internally to route tokens server-side.

Trust & Compliance

Consent & Playback Security

All voice records and recordings are stored securely on Australian platform object storage. Browser playback links expire automatically, preventing public leakage. Recording boxes support customizable greetings to easily broadcast pre-ring compliance warnings ("this call may be recorded...").

Audit Trails & Residency

Voicemail boxes feature access audit logging that tracks which users download or listen to messages in shared inboxes. Recording box configurations allow automatic storage purges upon successful S3/SFTP exports to minimize platform storage fees.
