"Unauthorised" on outbound calls using a verified caller ID
Crazytel can present a verified caller ID on outbound calls. In some cases, a call using a verified caller ID may fail with an "Unauthorised" message.
What caller ID verification does
Verifying a caller ID with Crazytel links the number to your Crazytel account and confirms that you hold the number or have rights to use it with Crazytel.
Caller ID verification does not confirm your rights to use the number with the carrier that owns the destination network.
Why the call may be rejected
When you call a non-Crazytel number, Crazytel must send the call to the destination carrier. Some carriers reject calls when the presented caller ID belongs to their network but has not been verified with that carrier.
For example, a Telstra number verified with Crazytel may be rejected when it is presented as the caller ID for a call to another Telstra number. The destination carrier may require confirmation of the caller ID status before connecting the call.
This behavior can affect both mobile and landline destinations. Try another verified caller ID or contact Crazytel Support if the issue continues.
