CrazyPBX - Making an Announcement

Announcements are used to play a message before routing the call to another destination.

⚠️ This guide covers CRAZYPBX ANNOUNCEMENTS If you are using a SIP Trunk, this is not the right guide!

Making a CrazyPBX Announcement

1. Sign in to your Crazytel Customer Portal account and click CrazyPBX

1. Click Inbound Features, then Announcements

1. Click New Announcement on the top-right

1. In the pop-up panel, enter the following fields:

a. Number: This is the internal identifier for this CrazyPBX Announcement.

b. Nickname: This is the human-readable name for this Announcement.

c. *(optional):* Description: A brief description of what the Announcement is for.

d. Greeting: This is the audio that the Announcement will play

e. Destination: Where the call goes after the audio file finishes.

1. Click Create Announcement

If your Announcement's audio doesn't play

• Check the Announcement has an audio-file set in the drop-down. If not, set one.
• If the audio file is set, but doesn't play, head to Custom Sounds and confirm the audio-file plays. If not, email support, or submit a ticket.
