What a static IP address is, who needs one, and how to add or remove a static IP on a Crazytel NBN® connection.

Your IP address is your connection's address on the internet. Normally it is dynamic and changes now and then, which suits almost everyone. A static IP stays the same.

Where to go

My Services › Manage › Static IP

Who needs one

  • Running a server or camera system.
  • Remote access to your home or office.
  • Business systems that only allow known addresses.

Add or remove

Add static IP
The monthly charge is shown before you confirm.
Remove static IP
You go back to a dynamic address.

Where to see it

The Overview tab shows Internet address, with your static IP or Changes now and then if it is dynamic, plus the Gateway, Subnet mask and DNS if your equipment needs them.
