How to change to a faster or cheaper NBN® plan, schedule a change for a later date, cancel a scheduled change, and what the Upgrade options badges mean.

Switch to a faster or cheaper plan straight away, or schedule the change for a later date such as your next billing date.

Where to go

My Services › Manage › Manage menu › Change plan

To compare plans first, open the connection's Upgrade options tab.

Steps

  1. Choose your new plan. Plans under Available now work on your connection as it is.
  2. Check what changes on your bill. The new price is shown before you confirm.
  3. Choose when. Now or On a later date.
  4. Confirm. Press Change plan or Schedule change.

What the Upgrade options mean

Available now
You can switch straight away.
Available with an NBN® box upgrade
Your NBN® box cannot carry this speed, so NBN® would swap it. The dialog explains what is involved.
Available with a new additional NBN® box
Only when your box has no free port or no speed left. NBN® reviews each request and may decline it.
Upgrade to full fibre
Needs a full fibre upgrade first.
Top up needed
Top up your prepaid balance first.
Not available on this connection
The reason is shown next to the plan.

Cancel a scheduled change

A scheduled change shows under Coming up on this connection. Press Cancel scheduled change any time before the day. You can have one scheduled change of each kind at a time.
